The Office of Civil Legal Aid is required to report quarterly to the bipartisan Civil Legal Aid Oversight Committee and the Washington Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Board on the use of state funds for legal aid. Copies of the quarterly reports for the 2005-07 biennium are found below:

The Office of Civil Legal Aid is also required to report biennially on the status of access to the civil justice system for low-income people eligible for state-funded legal aid.

In 2001 the Washington Supreme Court established a Task Force on Civil Equal Justice Funding. Chaired by Justice Charles W. Johnson, the Task Force conducted the state's first study of unmet civil legal needs and issued a series of reports and recommendations related to the provision of civil legal aid services in Washington State. The following reports were prepared and published by the Task Force.
